Julie Shapiro is the executive producer of Radiotopia from PRX - a curated network of extraordinary, cutting-edge podcasts. From 2014-15, she was the executive producer of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Creative Audio Unit. In 2000 she co-founded the Third Coast International Audio Festival, where, as artistic director, she shaped the Festival's creative trajectory and championed innovative audio and a cross-pollinating international listening culture.
Curtis Fox is a veteran podcast producer with deep roots in public radio. He has produced everything from radio drama and comedy to personal essays and documentaries. He originated four podcasts for The New Yorker, including The New Yorker Fiction Podcast, and produced podcasts for Esquire Magazine, Parents Magazine, the ACLU and others. For The Poetry Foundation he produces The Poetry Magazine Podcast and Poetry Off the Shelf, which he also hosts.
Pat Mesiti-Miller is a Bay Area radio producer and artist. He started collaborating with Ear Hustle in 2016 and works with the show developing sound and story. On a sunny day you might catch him inside the media lab at San Quentin working on edits or exploring the outer realms of automation with the crew. He visits Ear Hustle from WNYC's Snap Judgment where he is a producer and sound designer.
Megan Jones co-founded and ran a technology and user experience company for over a decade. She draws on that experience and her Southern storytelling roots as content strategist and multimedia producer. She co-produced the independent radio documentary Shake it, which debuted on WNYC and aired on over 65 public radio stations nationwide. She works with corporations, nonprofits, and foundations to help them connect experience to story. At night, she is a Moth StorySLAM producer for the Bay Area.
Cal Tabuena-Frolli illustrates and designs for public radio. He has illustrated for Love+Radio, KALW 91.7, The Third Coast Audio Festival, Serendipity, The Specialist, and AIR Media. He spends his spare time making books at the Los Angeles Contemporary Archive and thinking of the beautiful future between audio stories and printed matter. Cal designed the logo and brand for Ear Hustle.
